"Over the years my work has included wood, stone, and clay sculpture as well as painting in oil, acrylics, watercolor and mixed media. The subject matter varies, but generally indicates my interest in nature and ideas, with an affinity for folk art, indigenous peoples; their mythology and spirituality. I particularly like the juxtaposition of opposites and stumbling onto the unexpected.

Combining painting and sculpture is the best of all worlds for me, and the results may be playful or serious at the same time.  For the past eight years I have  worked with masks which by their nature, have a capacity for avoidance or exaggeration while fueling my imagination. Every project represents my personal dialog with an unknown entity. "
